Hello! I am a fourth-year medical student at the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine, and hope to be matching in Psychiatry. I graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s degree in History, which strengthened my analytical thinking, reading comprehension, and writing skills. Throughout my academic career, I have performed strongly on standardized exams, including the ACT, MCAT, USMLE Step 1 and Step 2, and COMLEX Level 1 and Level 2, giving me a solid foundation in test-taking strategies and content mastery that I bring into my tutoring.
I have been tutoring since 2017 and have worked with students across a wide range of ages and academic levels. I began through volunteer ESL tutoring, which helped me develop patience and adaptability while working with students from diverse backgrounds. During my gap years, I worked as an online instructor and SAT preparation tutor, teaching students in both one-on-one and small group settings. I have also tutored through private sessions and tutoring centers, primarily working with K–12 students in both in-person and virtual formats.
My tutoring style emphasizes simplicity, repetition, and confidence building. I focus on breaking complex topics down into manageable concepts, reinforcing foundational skills, and helping students understand not just what to learn, but how to learn effectively. I strive to create a supportive, structured learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and gain confidence in their abilities over time.

Approved Subjects

American History

American History

I was a history major in undergraduate at the University of Virginia! Would love to teach in ways that make it easy to learn!
Career Development

Career Development

As a medical student who has navigated premedical preparation, medical school, board exams, and residency applications, I offer guidance grounded in direct experience. I have mentored students on academic planning, study strategies, extracurricular development, and professional goal setting. My experience tutoring since 2017 has given me insight into helping students identify strengths and create actionable improvement plans. I focus on practical, structured advice tailored to each student’s academic stage and long-term goals.
College Counseling

College Counseling

As a graduate of the University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s degree in History, I understand the academic and extracurricular preparation required for competitive college admissions. I have worked with students on academic planning, standardized test preparation, and application organization. My experience as an SAT tutor and academic mentor allows me to guide students in strengthening both quantitative metrics and written components. I emphasize strategic planning, clear goal setting, and building a cohesive application profile.
Genetics

Genetics

Through my medical education, I have completed coursework in molecular genetics, inheritance patterns, and genetic disease, with continued application during pediatrics and internal medicine rotations. Preparation for the MCAT, USMLE, and COMLEX required a strong understanding of Mendelian disorders, chromosomal abnormalities, and molecular mechanisms. I am experienced in breaking down pedigrees, risk calculations, and high-yield genetic concepts in a clear and structured way. I focus on helping students connect molecular mechanisms to clinical presentation rather than memorizing isolated facts.
Interview Prep

Interview Prep

As a fourth-year medical student preparing for residency interviews, I have firsthand experience navigating the medical residency application process, including crafting responses to common and challenging interview questions. I have participated in mock interviews and professional development activities focused on communication skills, professionalism, and personal narrative development. My academic background in history has strengthened my ability to articulate clear, structured responses under pressure. I help students refine their storytelling, improve delivery, and present themselves confidently and authentically.
Neuroscience

Neuroscience

I am a fourth-year medical student with formal training in neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and clinical neurology through both preclinical coursework and clinical rotations. I have applied neuroscience principles during patient care in emergency medicine, internal medicine, and psychiatry, particularly in diagnosing neurologic conditions and understanding brain-behavior relationships. My board exam preparation for USMLE and COMLEX required mastery of neuroanatomical pathways, lesion localization, and neuropharmacology. I help students simplify complex neural circuits and clinical correlations into organized, testable frameworks.
Personal Statements

Personal Statements

I have extensive experience writing and editing personal statements for medical school and residency applications, drawing from my own successful application experiences. My background in history from the University of Virginia strengthened my analytical writing, organization, and narrative clarity. I focus on helping applicants develop a compelling personal story, maintain a cohesive theme, and communicate growth and motivation effectively. I provide detailed feedback on structure, tone, and authenticity to ensure each statement stands out while remaining professional.
Pharmacology

Pharmacology

I am a fourth-year medical student at the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine and have completed extensive pharmacology training throughout both my preclinical and clinical education. I successfully passed USMLE Step 1, USMLE Step 2, COMLEX Level 1, and COMLEX Level 2, all of which required a strong command of drug mechanisms, adverse effects, contraindications, and clinical decision-making. During my rotations in internal medicine, pediatrics, emergency medicine, and psychiatry, I have applied pharmacologic principles directly to patient care, including medication selection and management. I specialize in helping students understand pharmacology conceptually by connecting mechanisms of action to real clinical scenarios rather than relying solely on memorization.
United States History

United States History

I earned a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Virginia, where I completed advanced coursework in American political, social, and constitutional history. My academic training emphasized primary source analysis, argumentative writing, and historical interpretation. I am experienced in helping students develop thesis-driven essays, analyze historical documents, and prepare for AP or college-level history exams. I focus on strengthening critical thinking skills and helping students understand broader historical patterns rather than memorizing isolated dates.
USMLE

USMLE

I have successfully passed USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 as well as COMLEX Level 1 and Level 2, developing structured study strategies and test-taking frameworks that improved retention and performance. My preparation emphasized question-based learning, error analysis, and pattern recognition, which I now incorporate into tutoring sessions. I guide students in building efficient study schedules, mastering high-yield concepts, and improving clinical reasoning under timed conditions. My approach focuses not only on content review but also on exam strategy and confidence building.
