Hello! I am a Computer Engineering student at Virginia Tech with a strong foundation in mathematics and a passion for helping students build confidence in their math abilities. I have completed advanced coursework up to differential equations, which has strengthened my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. I also earned a 750 on the SAT Math/Reading section, and I bring that same level of preparation and understanding to my tutoring sessions.
Over the past year, I have tutored both middle school and high school students in subjects including algebra, calculus, and SAT Math and Reading. My experience has primarily been in one-on-one settings, where I work closely with each student to identify areas of difficulty and strengthen their understanding of core concepts. I also assist students with homework and classroom material, making sure they not only complete problems correctly but also understand the reasoning behind each step.
My tutoring approach focuses on breaking down problems in a clear, step-by-step way so students can build confidence and independence over time. If a student is struggling, I slow down the explanation, revisit foundational concepts, and guide them through examples until the material makes sense. My goal is to help students move beyond memorization and develop a deeper understanding of mathematics so they can succeed both in school and on standardized tests.
