I am a patient and supportive tutor with experience teaching Math and English to children of different ages. I have worked with students in both classroom and one on one settings, where I focus on helping them understand concepts clearly and feel more confident in their abilities. I currently teach at learning centers in Virginia, where I help students with foundational math skills, reading comprehension, writing, and daily homework. Through this experience, I have worked closely with elementary and middle school students and learned how to adjust my teaching style to fit different learning needs.

I have completed college level coursework and continue my studies while actively teaching. I have hands on experience creating lesson plans, working individually with students, and tracking their progress over time. In math, I help students improve skills such as basic arithmetic, problem solving, and overall understanding. In English, I support students with reading fluency, comprehension, grammar, and writing. I believe students learn best when they feel supported and comfortable, so I explain lessons in a simple and easy to understand way.

My approach to tutoring is calm, encouraging, and focused on growth. I make sure students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace while still working toward their goals. I also communicate with parents to better understand each child’s needs and provide the right support. Whether a student needs help catching up, staying organized, or building confidence in math or English, I am committed to helping them improve and feel proud of their progress.
