I am currently pursuing a B.S. in Bioengineering with a minor in Data Science at the University of Maryland, College Park, with an expected graduation in 2027. My academic background includes rigorous coursework in STEM subjects, and I am a member of Alpha Lambda Delta and the National Society of Leadership and Success.
I have experience teaching as a volunteer instructor at the Washington English Center, where I developed and delivered English lessons to classes of 10–15 adult immigrants and refugees. I used interactive and student-centered approaches to support diverse learning needs and maintain engagement. This involved adapting lesson plans to varied proficiency levels and incorporating both visual and conversational tools to improve retention and comprehension. Additionally, I regularly presented research findings in both the UMD Vascular Kinetics Lab and the NIH, where I translated complex scientific concepts into accessible language for non-experts. This skill reflects my ability to explain material clearly, an essential component of effective tutoring.
I have been actively engaged in teaching and mentoring roles from June 2022 through the present, and am enthusiastic and driven when it comes to teaching others.
