As a player, I won 5 national chess championships as a member of the famous I.S. 318 middle school chess team from Brooklyn, New York in the film Brooklyn Castle. After my career at I.S. 318 ended, I became an assistant coach on the staff, responsible for analyzing games of players at tournament and onboarding elementary school kids into the chess program during summer chess camps.
I went on to attend college at the University of Virginia where I earned my undergrad in Foreign Affairs and Master's Degree in Public Policy. During my time at UVA, I coached chess at the Charlottesville Day School for two years, teaching beginner chess strategies. My recent coaching came supporting the Impact Coaching Network at the elementary nationals in Baltimore, MD in early May.
