GREAT first session!

I tried some other tutors on Wyzant and it didn't go well because they weren't prepared and required a lot material purchases. Just had my first session with Maria and I actually learned quite a bit on the first session. She's a really friendly, patient, encouraging and experienced native Russian tutor and she comes prepared with a lot of materials that she gave me. She's great with technology and started a google doc for me. She wrote out some words so that I could see them as well as hear them and see where the intonation stress should go. It's great that she keeps documents so that I can review and also learn on my own so it's great for online learning. She offered to create audio clips for me and we worked on a basic conversation introduction so that I could be a better speaker. Can't wait for the next session.

Fantastic and Fun Tutor

Maria is fantastic tutor! While I was hesitant at first about being tutored only online, Maria does a great job of using Google Docs and other online resources to seamlessly teach Russian. Lessons are structured enough to ensure we make progress, but still leaves room for questions and discussions of different subjects. Her use of news articles and other real life examples is useful for trying the practical application of my Russian language skills. She is very patient and understanding, and I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of a Russian tutor!

Absolutely Amazing and helpful, Maria is the best!

Maria is an amazing tutor as she helps you out at almost any education level, I myself am a beginner and she helped me out without any judgement. She helped me with projects and tests as well as review on things I may have forgotten. She will drill you incessantly on concepts to make sure you know the material, it is a bit annoying at the moment but it is absolutely necessary for Russian and thus I appreciate it greatly. She also assigns honework so that you can freshen up and sharpen your skills between lessons.

Very experienced Russian tutor

Maria is an amazing tutor. She listens very patiently and encourages her students to speak. I personally like that she explains everything in Russian and allows me to learn that way. Her lessons are very methodical and interesting. Upon request, she provided useful studying material.
