I am a CELTA-certified tutor with bachelor's degrees in journalism and Spanish from Auburn University. I have also completed studies in interpreting, translation and Portuguese. I have teaching experience in the USA, South Korea and Chile, and have tutored 3,000+ hours online.

I specialize in Spanish for students of all ages. Whether starting with the alphabet, dissecting preterite vs. imperfect or exploring the subjunctive, I look forward to helping students strengthen their confidence and understanding of Spanish at the beginner, intermediate or advanced level.

For ESL and EFL students-- I offer conversation-based classes to help you correct mistakes on the spot and improve vocabulary and usage skills.

Translation services are also available. Rates vary.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Spanish from Auburn University and a 40-hour Spanish/English Medical Interpreter Certificate from UGA-Gwinnett. My studies also include semesters in Buenos Aires, Argentina and San Jose, Costa Rica. I've been living in Chile since early 2017 and teaching Spanish since early 2018. In the USA, I worked for two years as a Spanish/English interpreter in medical and academic settings. I have also worked as a translator doing subtitles for TV & film, transcriptions and editing. My strong understanding of both English and Spanish mechanics combined with my experience living in Latin America allows me to teach Spanish in a way that is easier to understand for native English speakers. I've overcome the challenges of learning Spanish, and I love helping others broaden their world through language.
