I've always loved science because of the logical, mechanistic thinking it demands. I was never satisfied just knowing what was happening; I always wanted to know why. Studying for the MCAT, I realized the AAMC pushes that same thinking beyond science itself and into how you read and reason through text. That instinct, why instead of just what, is the thread running through everything I teach, whether it's a first chemistry class or a full MCAT prep plan.
Many students struggle in science courses, and especially on the MCAT, not from lacking content knowledge, but because these subjects demand a different kind of thinking than most school teaches. Gen chem, orgo, and biochem build on each other, so early gaps compound. On the MCAT, score improvement is slow and uneven, and the gap between effort and visible results can wear a student down before it pays off.
That's where I try to help most. I push students to find the underlying logic in material that might otherwise feel like memorization, since that's what makes it stick.
I'm new to tutoring on this platform, but teaching has been part of my life for years. I was a TA for organic chemistry, tutored it one-on-one with real score improvement to show for it, and taught math and history to middle schoolers in French, which trained me to explain concepts clearly across a language barrier.
Outside tutoring, I'm currently receiving interview invites from top 10 medical schools, so I'm also available for application advice.
I'm still building my roster, so you'll get more of my attention outside sessions than you would with a tutor juggling dozens of clients. I also have very recent MCAT experience: the exam keeps evolving, and tutors who haven't taken it in years can't perceive those changes the way someone who just went through it can.
