I love knowledge, and I've spent my career chasing it. I hold a bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from Simon Bolivar University (2013) and an MBA in Finance from IESA Business School (2015), and I hold the Series 65 as a financial advisor registered in Virginia. My approach is simple: complex ideas deserve kitchen-table examples. Whether I'm explaining weighted average cost of capital, a marketing funnel, or the fiduciary standard that sits at the heart of the Series 65, I reach for a concrete story before I reach for a formula. I have a scientific mindset and I'm honest about what you need to hear. Before we begin, I like to understand your goals and where you're stuck, so we can agree on a plan that actually gets you there. And if I'm not the right fit for your particular goal, I'll tell you so.

I tutored Mathematics at Simon Bolivar University for six years, from 2006 to 2012. From 2013 to 2015, I taught Corporate Finance at IESA Business School. Today I run the financial advisory firm I founded, where I make the financial and marketing decisions and work alongside a marketing professional, a branding expert, and a compliance team. Running that business is where my small business management experience comes from, and it means the finance and marketing material I teach is the same material I work with every week.

For students preparing for the Series 65 or Series 66, I will share my winning strategy based on my experience: I've passed the Series 65 on the first attempt both times I've sat for it, once initially and again after a gap in my registration required me to requalify.

I'm an immigrant, fluent in English and Spanish, and I'm glad to work in either language. All backgrounds and all questions are welcome here. There is no such thing as a bad question! Send me a brief note about your goals and where you'd like to be, and I'll get back to you soon.

Career Development

Career Development

As a business owner and hiring manager in software and finance, I've sat on the other side of hundreds of hiring decisions, and I now use that perspective to mentor people through their career moves. We start with what you actually want next and what an employer needs to see to believe it. Then we identify which parts of your experience transfer, position your background so a hiring manager keeps reading, rebuild your resume around measurable results, and prepare for the interviews and networking conversations that follow. Whether you're pivoting mid-career or applying for your first internship, you'll get honest, specific feedback from someone who has actually made the hiring call.
Finance

Finance

Master's degree in business and finance. IESA Business School. Series 65 securities license. Passed Level 1 of the CFA.
Marketing

Marketing

I tutored grad students at my business school for the course "applied marketing for business owners." I studied extensively Philip Kotler's marketing theory while completing my MBA. Currently, I lead the marketing department of my financial advisory firm along a professional editor. I design the marketing of the business and run marketing campaigns online. I have experience marketing in regulated industries like banking and finance and I've trained new colleagues in our marketing department.
MBA

MBA

I earned an MBA and Finance degree from IESA Business School after completing my bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering at Simon Bolivar University. I am the founder of TitanRex, a financial advisory firm in Virginia, where I make financial, strategic, operational, and marketing decisions as part of running the business and working with clients. From 2013 to 2015, I taught Corporate Finance to graduate students at IESA Business School. Earlier in my academic career, I also tutored Mathematics for six years at Simon Bolivar University. My combination of graduate business education, classroom teaching, quantitative training, and experience building and operating a business allows me to connect MBA concepts with practical business decisions. For MBA students, I can help with corporate finance, financial analysis, business strategy, entrepreneurship, marketing, and quantitative business concepts. I help students break down case studies and assignments, understand the reasoning behind financial and strategic decisions, and connect academic frameworks with practical examples so they can apply the material rather than simply memorize it.
Series 65

Series 65

I passed the Series 65 in 2017 and again in 2022 and I am registered as an Investment Adviser Representative in Virginia. I lead TitanRex, where the fiduciary, regulatory, investment, and portfolio standards tested on the exam are part of my professional work with clients. Over the past five years, I have helped more than 20 advisers prepare for the Series 65 and the investment adviser registration process, identifying concepts they were struggling with and working through the reasoning behind practice questions and answers. I also taught corporate finance to graduate students at IESA Business School. For Series 65 candidates, I teach investment adviser regulation under the Uniform Securities Act, fiduciary duties and ethics, investment products, economics, and portfolio management. I help students build a structured study plan, diagnose recurring mistakes, and develop a systematic approach to practice questions and long situational questions.
Series 66

Series 66

I lead an Investment Firm, TitanRex, where I mentor and train the new advisors. I establish a study system with clear goals in order to pass a securities license with 6-8 weeks of study time. I currently hold a Series 65 which is very similar in content to the Series 66. The main difference is the sponsorship requirement. Furthermore, I taught Corporate Finance at my business school in which I helped graduate students understand complex legal, regulatory, and finance subjects. Finally, I also support advisors with practical implementation of these concepts, especially when dealing with clients who are not technical experts.
