Term paper trouble? Thesis in crisis? Dissertation at a dead end? For some of us, writing feels like the most unnatural thing in the world. Have you ever thought:
I don’t know what to say, or how to say it.
I was just told my draft is unfocused, uninteresting, or unpersuasive, what now?
I have a looming deadline, and I’m just stuck.
Experience has taught me that academic and career success depends on effective writing. Let me share with you what I’ve learned about the writing process...
Let me share with you what I’ve learned about the writing process over my 25-year federal government career publishing academic journal articles, book chapters, and studies, as well as overseeing other researchers’ work. I graduated with honors with a B.S. in Economics from Binghamton University and earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland. I have tutored high school and college students through this process for three years and created a class on research and clear writing for post-graduate researchers.
Together, we can break through the barriers keeping you from crafting solid arguments and writing them clearly and persuasively. Using one of your current assignments, we’ll work step by step through the research and writing process using methods outlined in several books by university professors Booth, Colomb, Williams, Bizup, and Fitzgerald. When we’re done, you’ll have a completed assignment and a writing toolbox that you can use over and over again.
I hope we can work together soon!
