I hold a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (SUNY Albany) and an M.S. in Sustainable Development and Conservation Biology (University of Maryland), complemented by an M.Sc. in Biological Sciences and a B.E. in Computer Science from BITS Pilani, India. I’m on track to complete my Virginia provisional teaching license by summer 2025 through iTeach, and I’ve earned certifications in Python for Data Science, Google Earth Engine, and NASA’s UN Biodiversity Lab training.

For over 30 years I’ve designed and delivered science, math, statistics, and environmental conservation instruction across classrooms, one-on-one tutoring, and professional workshops. As a substitute teacher in Northern Virginia Public Schools, I support learners from Pre-K through high school, including special education, reinforcing core concepts and building confidence. At the collegiate level I’ve taught General Biology, Animal Behavior, and Ecology to firstyear undergraduates, advised capstone research at George Washington University, and trained more than 200 researchers in biostatistics and GIS. Internationally, I’ve led multi-day training programs, equipping researchers, government officials and civil-society leaders in 10+ countries with hands-on skills in biology, environmental science, statistics, data analysis and Geographic Information Systems.
