I am skilled at creating authentic, memorable, and well-written personal statements and supporting students as they go through that process. I have also crafted more than 15 personal statements of my own; this allows me to teach my students the insights I learned about best practices, which enhances their learning experiences. I have written, edited, and assisted students with personal statements for purposes that include academic admission applications (undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs), scholarship applications, and more. During our work together, I’ll share tips for crafting personal statements and offer as much or as little guidance as needed throughout the writing process. Together we can break it down and make it seem less overwhelming, from brainstorming to outlining structure to editing.
