Hi, I’m Liz and I’m excited to be able to open my schedule to new students again (virtual sessions only)! I love sharing my enthusiasm for learning and am an experienced and dedicated teacher, analyst, and psychology professional. As a passionate teacher, I have a demonstrated track record of helping my students improve their academic skills while building confidence and having fun.

My employment and educational backgrounds have provided me with extensive reading, writing, research, and analytical experience. I earned my MA in Forensic Psychology and BS in Criminology, which is where I discovered school can be an incredible experience - with the right teachers.

I specialize in subjects including English, reading, writing, criminology, and psychology. I offer guidance on research papers (they can seem scary but I have tips to tackle them!) and numerous other types of writing products; I can help navigate as much or little of the writing process as needed, from brainstorming to structure outlining to sourcing. I also offer editing/proofreading services.

I work with children, teens, and adults, and have extensive experience with neurodiversity. I focus on academic organization and stress management. Applying a strengths-based approach, I help students harness their skills to target areas of improvement. My tutoring style is individualized and tailored to best fit each student’s unique needs, personalities, and abilities.

Blending support and humor, I teach students the skills and knowledge they need to move forward with confidence in achieving their goals, whether that’s preparing for a psychology exam, writing an amazing personal statement for a doctoral program application, or just wanting to increase their knowledge in a given area.

In my spare time, I love reading, relaxing with my two cats, drinking coffee, going to concerts, and doing puzzles of all kinds.

Please reach out so we can discuss how I can help get you where you want to be! I look forward to hearing from you!

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

Carefully reviewed the outline of an essay, and helped structure some of the paragraphs, as well. We also went over the breakdown of how to format an MLA essay. She was very patient and kind.
