I’m Robyn, and I’ve working with student writers at ALL levels for more than 15 years, including students with writing anxiety and English-language learners. Writing skills helped me win admission to my "reach" college and that sparked my passion to help others. I hold a BA and MA in English from Georgetown, and a TESOL certificate and Ph.D. in Writing and Rhetoric from George Mason University; I also won a Fulbright scholarship to teach in Budapest.

I’m Robyn, and I’ve working with student writers at ALL levels for more than 15 years, including students with writing anxiety and English-language learners. I hold a PhD in Writing and Rhetoric from George Mason University, I am a college writing professor, and I am very active in professional writing organizations, meaning I will bring a research-backed set of best practices to all of our tutoring sessions; my approach focuses deeply on the individual student needs and on developing strong writing processes to fit each student's personality, students will leave my tutoring sessions with long-lasting skills that they can apply to a myriad of writing situations. The best and most caring tutor!!

I have been searching for a good tutor on Wyzant for a long time. I had good ones and ok ones. Robyn is so different from all the ones I had in that she cares about her students and genuinely wants to help. She asked me to send her materials before the official meeting to make the time to be more effective. She is very knowledgeable about writing and helped me to build a theme throughout my personal statement. I've had two sessions with her for now. I will continue my PA school application journey with her. After these two sessions, I feel more confident and less stressed about my application process. I strongly recommend her to those who need help with personal statements or essays.
