I now work primarily as a nurse practitioner in critical care environments and as a nurse educator/mentor.
I have worked with nursing students and nurses of all levels – from pre-health to nursing school to NCLEX prep to mentoring newer nurses as they transition from new graduate to confident and highly skilled bedside staff. I began my teaching experience about 5 years ago, as I began precepting new nurses and helping prepare them to take certification exams such as the CCRN. I have formally taught in classrooms, led seminars, and I love working one-on-one to determine the best action plan for individual students.
Giving back to the profession that made me who I am today is one of my greatest passions.
