Hey there, I’m Gin! Relatively new to the DMV—been here about 2 years and some change. I’m currently a PhD Candidate at Rutgers University and taking hiatus to focus on my diplomatic and military careers. I have a Bachelor of Arts with a major in World History and a minor in Anthropology. A masters degree in Global Affairs with a concentration in nuclear strategy. My PhD is also in Global Affairs, and my dissertation is centered on Shia Militia groups in the Middle East. Aside from my degrees, I have taken doctoral level courses in subjects such as International Business, Criminology, Anthropology, and Economics. Additionally I have completed undergraduate and graduate coursework in psychology, political science, diplomacy, research methods, and environmental science.
Despite my relatively young age I have extensive experience working in various foreign affairs related career tracks, including government, the military, non governmental organizations and international organizations. I speak English and Spanish and I am currently learning Persian.
