I have two masters degrees (History and Public Administration, with minors in geography and political science). I am a retired US Army Warrant Officer W5 and a retired civil service officer (GG-14). I have served overseas in Europe, Asia, and Central America in multiple intelligence analysis positions. My careers included extensive experience in research, writing, briefing, and classroom instruction as well as planning and operations for the intelligence community at multiple levels. I enjoyed teaching junior analysts effective research and writing skills to enhance their professional development. I have taught foreign students as well as native English speakers in research and writing on historical and current affairs topics. I have a solid background in History, Geography, Political Science, and English.

After university, I have over 50 years of practical experience in writing skills and presenting classes on writing and English literature to high school and college students as well as adult education. During my Master's work, I was a teaching and research assistant, teaching classes and grading papers as well as after-hours tutoring.

My undergraduate and graduate degrees were History, with minors in geography and political science. During over fifty years of job experience in the military and civilian sectors I have researched and written hundreds of articles, papers, and briefings that included extensive historical research and writing to place current events into context. This has included European, American, Middle Eastern, and Asian topics.

As a tutor I have always been able to provide assistance and support to my students and enjoy helping develop useful skills and expertise. I am always available to offer additional assistance and have been commended numerous times and in numerous environments for my ability to present clear and even entertaining lectures and while maintaining a professional demeanor.
