I am a medical student at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. Before medical school, I completed Georgetown University's rigorous post-bacc program, earning a 4.0 cGPA in a rigorous medical school-level curriculum and finishing magna cum laude. I also earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Delaware. My academic background includes biology, biochemistry, physiology, chemistry, mathematics, critical reading, and scientific writing, and I have extensive experience contributing to scholarly research project in writing.
Over the past 5 years, I have mentored and tutored middle school, high school, college, and post-baccalaureate students in both one-on-one and small-group settings. My experience includes MCAT preparation, college-level science tutoring, academic mentoring, and application advising. As an MCAT student myself, I scored in the 92nd percentile overall with a 99th percentile CARS score, and I have helped students improve their scores by 5–10 points within a month of focused preparation. I have also worked with students on study strategy, time management, accountability, and application development, helping many become competitive applicants for their desired academic and professional programs.
My passion for teaching began in high school through creative and persuasive writing instruction and continued in college as a peer mentor and tutor, where I hosted study sessions covering chemistry, biochemistry, mathematics, and physics. I help students identify patterns, strengthen logical reasoning, improve reading comprehension, and develop efficient learning systems that produce long-term results. Whether we are preparing for the MCAT, SAT, ACT, GRE, a college science course, or a writing-intensive assignment, I focus on breaking complex concepts into manageable pieces and building the confidence, discipline, and problem-solving skills necessary for success both inside and outside the classroom.
