I am a medical student at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. Before medical school, I completed Georgetown University's rigorous post-bacc program, earning a 4.0 cGPA in a rigorous medical school-level curriculum and finishing magna cum laude. I also earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Delaware. My academic background includes biology, biochemistry, physiology, chemistry, mathematics, critical reading, and scientific writing, and I have extensive experience contributing to scholarly research project in writing.

Over the past 5 years, I have mentored and tutored middle school, high school, college, and post-baccalaureate students in both one-on-one and small-group settings. My experience includes MCAT preparation, college-level science tutoring, academic mentoring, and application advising. As an MCAT student myself, I scored in the 92nd percentile overall with a 99th percentile CARS score, and I have helped students improve their scores by 5–10 points within a month of focused preparation. I have also worked with students on study strategy, time management, accountability, and application development, helping many become competitive applicants for their desired academic and professional programs.

My passion for teaching began in high school through creative and persuasive writing instruction and continued in college as a peer mentor and tutor, where I hosted study sessions covering chemistry, biochemistry, mathematics, and physics. I help students identify patterns, strengthen logical reasoning, improve reading comprehension, and develop efficient learning systems that produce long-term results. Whether we are preparing for the MCAT, SAT, ACT, GRE, a college science course, or a writing-intensive assignment, I focus on breaking complex concepts into manageable pieces and building the confidence, discipline, and problem-solving skills necessary for success both inside and outside the classroom.

Creative Writing

Creative Writing

Having multiple published academic entries into scholarly journals as well as my fair-share of scientific research oral/written presentations, and a 10+ year history of essay production and review for a wide-variety of academic subjects dating back into my days as an independent essay-generation business owner, I am a subject matter expert at producing, editing, and submitting high level writing projects. I will help you develop a communication style that consistently and efficiently produces high-level, sound scientific writing or imagery-dense, authentic, and beautiful personal narratives. Together, we will bolster your next application into professional school or submission into an academic journal.
MCAT

MCAT

I scored an 85th percentile score (515+) with a 97th percentile score (129) on the CARS portion of the 2024 MCAT on my first attempt. As a student who used this to matriculate and go on to do well on multiple AAMC/NBME medical school exams, I understand and am able to communicate and demystify the format and hidden skills needed to score excellently on the test. I will provide you with the test taking strategies necessary to conquer any part of this exam, a deep dive on how to study properly for each portion of the exam, and then using our sessions, we'll refine all of this as well as your weaknesses and question strategy.
Personal Statements

Personal Statements

As a medical student on a tuition scholarship at Georgetown Medical School, one of the most competitive for admissions in the nation, I have experience in screening for admissions prospects, crafting a competitive application, and interviewing successfully. Together, we can create a competitive application refined to sound 'real and authentic' while maintaining the aspect/edge to look rigorous enough to be admitted at any top flight medical school in the nation.
SAT Reading

SAT Reading

An avid reader myself, it wasn't always this easy for me to understand passages. Working with my tutor as a high school aged youth, I was able to learn the semantics of breaking down passages, reading to understand the theme and to contextualize the voice of the author. This helped me understand what he was saying and agreed with, and what he did not--the core of this exam. My score went from a 610 to a 780 on the 2019 SAT reading portion, helping me earn scholarships that saved my family thousands of dollars in education debt. As a current medical student, reading continues to be key in my pursuit of my degree and towards the impact I want to have on my patients. I continue to have a love for teaching reading comprehension, with a goal of ensuring that students learn how to take home the right message and understand the full point being communicated by the author of the articles/small text vignettes being assigned on the reading portions of the SAT. As a 99nd percentile Critical Analysis of Reasoning Skills scorer for the medical college admissions test's reading portion, I have mastered the art of reading efficiently and to obtain a deep, applicable understanding of the texts presented and am passionate about helping upcoming students do the same!
