Hello! I’m Natalia, an undergraduate student majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Spanish at the University of Virginia.
I have around two years of tutoring experience prior to Wyzant mainly through my time as a Mathnasium instructor, in which I tutored K-12 students specifically in mathematics. As someone with experience as both a teacher and a student, I understand the importance of flexibility, so I make sure to specifically tailor my tutoring style to match the needs of the students!
Additionally, I currently tutor UVA engineering undergraduates in high-level courses built on foundational math and physics, such as Statics or Ordinary Differential Equations, and I can also help with CAD-related tutoring, especially in Fusion 360 and SolidWorks. My experience as a tutor for my fellow peers has been both fun and informative, and I aim to bring that same energy to my sessions.
I’m also available to teach coding languages such as Python or Java. In fact, from my recent data science internship, I’ve strengthened my computer science foundations, especially in Python and Tableau. I can guide students through the complicated and intimidating world of coding and offer insight on solid industry practices.
Finally, I’m able to tutor Spanish! Aside from minoring in Spanish, I have always found myself enamored with the rhythm and beauty of the language. Whether you want to dive into the nuanced grammatical structure or just want to practice some conversational Spanish, I’m here to help!
