My work has appeared in numerous publications, and I have won awards from both the Virginia Press Association and Society of Professional Journalists. I hold a Masters of Education and Masters of Journalism, both from Northwestern University in Illinois.
I believe that language and writing are incredible gateways to both self-expression and learning about the world around you. My hope is that all individuals use language and writing to achieve their dreams and explore their goals, and I support students to the best of my ability to that end - be it a daily journal assignment or a college entrance essay.
