Welcome to my page where I believe anyone can do math and be successful! My style will be to challenge you to think and grow in what you already know. It all starts with the confidence inside, and I hope to build up that confidence!
I am currently a high school math teacher with 16 years experience with an undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Administration. I have taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Algebra Functions and Data Analysis, Computer Math, Probability and Statistics, and Pre-Calculus. I also have several years experience with private tutoring with amazing results, including higher level of understanding, higher grades and strong relationships. With this experience, I have encountered many different students and many different learning styles. One of my past students found himself struggling to pass the required statewide tests. With little time left in the school year, I knew he was stressed. I made it my mission to help him pass his state math test. I practiced patience with him and he was appreciative for the assistance. So, we practiced everyday until the big day came. He passed! I was so elated as if I had passed the test myself! That was a feeling that was like no other and solidified my reasons for being an educator. I want this same feeling for you, and I intend, as your tutor, to dedicate the same passion.
