My name is Tyler, and I’m eager to help students explore and understand a variety of subjects, including chemistry, math, and more. I earned both my Bachelor’s (3.62 GPA) and Master’s (3.63 GPA) degrees in Biological Engineering from Utah State University—all while working multiple part-time jobs and supporting a family. My education not only fostered a deep curiosity for learning but also a drive to truly understand the world around us. I currently work full-time as an engineer at Schreiber Foods, where I apply many of the principles I learned in school to real-world problems. My academic and professional experiences have strengthened my expertise in math, science, and literacy subjects—from basic algebra to calculus. As a biological engineer, the life sciences come naturally to me, and I’m comfortable tutoring biology, biochemistry, and related fields.
In addition to my scientific background, I’m well-versed in computer programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as engineering and programming tools like Python, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD. The process of learning has always inspired me. I find great satisfaction not only in acquiring new knowledge but in achieving true mastery of a subject. Everyone learns differently, and I enjoy helping others find clarity in topics they may find challenging. I also value feedback and use it to continually improve my teaching approach.
I bring a unique perspective to tutoring through my experience working with children who have special needs, including my twin brothers with cerebral palsy. These experiences have taught me patience, empathy, and adaptability—skills that help me meet each student where they are. I’ve had the privilege of tutoring students with diverse learning needs in subjects ranging from math to basic reading skills. I believe everyone has their own strengths, and my goal is to help each student recognize their potential and build confidence in their abilities.
