I'm a recent MD graduate from Oregon Health and Science University, starting residency in Emergency Medicine this summer. I got a 520 on the MCAT, and I believe there is absolutely no reason to think you can't do the same or better. I've taught middle school and adult learners as a volunteer before medical school, and I've been tutoring for the MCAT since the start of this year with a major test prep company. I help my MCAT students increase their scores by improving their strategies and targeting the most important skills to master for each section. I come from a non-science background and during my time in med school I've developed memorization and learning habits that have helped me absorb and retain information quickly, and I teach students apply those same habits to their own content studying. I particularly enjoy tutoring CARS; I scored a 132 by leveraging my understanding of philosophical reasoning, and I enjoy helping people understand the right way to think for the test. Skill isn't innate, nor is it given to those who endure the most hard work; exceptional performance simply comes from successful implementation of an effective strategy. I want to help you find your path to MCAT victory.
