Hey, I’m Carli!

I am a student at Utah Tech University majoring in mathematics education. I am on track to becoming a high school math teacher and mathematics curriculum developer. I have always loved puzzles, brain teasers, and things that challenge my brain, and math falls perfectly into that category! My lesson plans reflect this, as I have found through my college education and tutoring experience that math is understood best when it is shown in an exciting and interactive way.

I have been a math tutor for 6 years, working with students in elementary and secondary school. Most of that experience is with students in a one-on-one setting or in smaller focus groups of 3-5 students. I’ve covered a variety of subjects, with a large focus on algebra, graphing and linear equations, and geometry. My approach in tutoring mathematics is to find the explanation and process that makes the most sense to YOU! I’ve tailored lessons to fit best with my students by utilizing physical models, videos, and dancing to name a few innovative methods. I have a passion for helping students succeed.
