My educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Education – Curriculum and Instruction as well as a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies. I have recently finished my coursework for my Ed.D in Educational Teacher Leadership from Walden University and will complete my Doctoral Study in the Fall of 2012. I currently hold a master's degree in Education - Curriculum and Instruction, have substitute taught for 12 years and taught at the collegiate level for 2 years. I am finishing my Doctorate in Education as well as a M.S. in School counseling. I have worked within the school systems in the elementary core areas for many years as well as currently pursuing my teaching certification in K-8.
General Music

I have an extensive background in music that includes such performing groups as the BYU Mens Chorus, University of Utah Acapella Choir and Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I have also directed several choral and orchestral groups over the last several years and have been a championship level barbershop chorus director.

I hold a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, have worked as a substitute teacher for 12 years while pursuing my education. I have also taught college for a few years including courses in study skills. My instructional method uses common teaching strategies including content mastery through exercises and personally adapted learning style instruction.
