I am the Director of Multi-faith Matters. I have taught at Bible colleges and been an adjunct and guest lecturer in seminaries and universities. I am the co-editor and contributing author for Encountering New Religious Movements: A Holistic Evangelical Approach, and the editor of Beyond the Burning Times: A Pagan and Christian in Dialogue. I am currently co-editing an anthology volume on emotions in multifaith engagement through Pickwick due out in 2020. I have also provided expertise to the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization issue group on "The Church and the New Spiritualities." I have been involved for many years in multi-faith relationships and conversations in the contexts of Islam, Mormonism, Paganism, and Atheism. My ongoing research in multi-faith engagement and religious conflict involves bringing social psychology into conversation with a theology of love of our religious neighbors. Particular ares of interest are “us vs. them” tribalism, fear of the other, evangelical concerns for purity, and Christian Nationalism.
I have contributed articles and chapters to various periodicals, including peer-reviewed academic journals. I am a contributor, co-editor and editor of various books on religion and pop culture.
I have a graduate degree in intercultural studies, have been involved in multifaith dialogue for many years, and have researched, written, and taught about various religions in Bible Colleges and seminaries.
