Hey there! My name is Ramsay. I've been a certified Spanish teacher for 10+ years and I will be beginning my 8th year of classroom teaching in Fall of 2026. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Spanish Education from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah and I have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governor's University. I have also been an ESL teacher at my school for 4 years now and have been successful in helping students improve their English skills at the school.

I'm a believer in the idea that in order to learn a language, you need to do everything you can to surround yourself in that language. An area that many students struggle is finding someone to practice speaking the language. That's where I can come in and help your student. While I love teaching the grammar and rules behind Spanish, I absolutely know that the best way students can learn is by PRACTICING the language. I can practice having a conversation with your students and help them understand how and why certain phrases or vocabulary is used in Spanish conversations. I can do the same thing for students who want to practice English. I've also been told that my pronunciation of the Spanish language is phenomenal and can help your student with proper pronunciation as well.

My main area of expertise is teaching Spanish to secondary aged students (Middle school/Jr. High school and High school students). However, while I was finishing my degree I had the opportunity to work in the language lab at my college to help other college students with their Spanish classes. Additionally, I have experience teaching and playing the guitar and am happy to tutor beginners with the guitar.

The bottom line is that I find great satisfaction in helping students be successful in school and in subjects that they enjoy. I would be more than happy to help push your student to be the best they can be.
