Hi, I’m Jeff!
I’m a fluent Spanish speaker with full immersion and tutoring experience. I lived in Argentina from 2013–2015, where I developed strong conversational and cultural fluency. After returning to the U.S., I earned my B.A. with Spanish language credit and wrote college-level academic papers in Spanish through my university’s Honors College.
I also have experience with medical Spanish — I was certified as a medical interpreter through my undergraduate university health system and later tutored medical students in conversational and medical Spanish during my second year of medical school.
Beyond academics, Spanish is part of my daily life: I write poetry and music in Spanish and regularly speak with my Venezuelan in-laws, which keeps my language natural, current, and culturally grounded.
My teaching philosophy is student-centered and practical. Every learner is different. I focus on identifying your strengths, targeting areas for growth, and building a clear, personalized plan to help you gain confidence and fluency — whether your goal is school, work, travel, or conversation.
I can help with conversational Spanish, academic Spanish (high school and introductory undergraduate), medical Spanish basics, and cultural fluency / real-world usage.
