I’m especially passionate about helping students succeed in mathematics and on standardized tests like the ACT. I scored a 35 composite on the ACT through self-study, and I believe the strategies I used can be tailored to help other students reach their full potential as well.
While I’m newer to formal math tutoring, I’ve spent a lot of time helping peers and family members understand challenging math concepts. My first real experience teaching came when my younger brother got a concussion and needed help catching up in his math class. That experience completely changed how I viewed learning — from being competitive and grade-focused, to seeing how rewarding it is to help someone grow in their ability and confidence.
I’m currently preparing to apply to PhD programs in mathematics, and I love exploring the "why" behind math—not just the steps, but the ideas. I aim to bring that same mindset to my tutoring sessions, creating a space where students feel encouraged and equipped to take on new challenges.
