Hi! I'm Ben. I'm 3D designer, animator and filmmaker who has 4 years of university teaching experience. I hold a B.F.A in Graphic Design from Utah Valley University, my background includes freelance animation work, teaching, and course development, so I know how to turn complex principles into understandable processes

I've taught 3D animation and modeling as a University Lecturer at Utah Valley University, working with college students, most of them beginners aged roughly 18 to 30. In the classroom, I built hands-on projects that took students from their first primitive shapes to finished, rendered scenes. I have professional and teaching experience in 3D modeling, rigging, texturing, rendering, and animation. I create a custom curriculum and assignments for each student, taking their experience and goals into account.

Outside the classroom, I animate professionally for local companies while also directing personal film projects. My skills in this subject are more than what I get paid for. It's what I do. I love it and love sharing what I do with others.

My teaching approach is practical and project-based. Before our first session, I'll ask what your goals are, whether that's your first 3D scene, a portfolio piece, animation or help on a homework assignment. I'll build our lessons around that goal. One-on-one sessions let us move at your pace, focusing on what's challenging you and skipping what you already know.
