Whether you're struggling with the Spanish curriculum in school, wanting to start a journey with a new language, or reinforce your Spanish skills, I'm here to help! I'm a certified high school Spanish teacher currently teaching Spanish 1 and 2 to 9th-12th graders. I love working with Spanish 1-2 students as I'm highly familiar with the curriculum and already possess many engaging learning resources for these classes from my own teaching background. Working with Pacific and Mountain time students is a great fit for my schedule with availability in the evenings!

Prior to teaching high school, I taught three years of middle school and introductory Spanish for 1.5 years at the University of Utah as a graduate teaching assistant while I completed my master's degree in Spanish. I've immersed myself in Spanish-speaking cultures while studying abroad in Spain and Argentina and by returning to Spain on a Fulbright grant to teach English. As a non-native Spanish speaker who learned Spanish from scratch for 15+ years, I understand the struggles that learners face as they learn a second language and help empower my students to feel confident and take risks. I've worked with learners from all walks of life aged 3 to 65 years old through my adventures teaching early through postsecondary education, and am ready to support you in whatever step of your language journey you find yourself and personalize your learning in a safe environment.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Belmont University and a Master of Arts in World Languages - Spanish from the University of Utah. I also possess a Spanish teaching certification, Advanced Mid OPI certification, and have passed the Spanish Praxis. I have received prestigious awards such as the Fulbright grant to apply my language skills abroad.
