Xuchang University (English Education)
I am a native Chinese Mandarin speaker. Born and raised in China my whole life, I have a thorough understanding of the Chinese language, society and culture. I graduated from Xuchang University in China with a Bachelor's Degree in English Education in 2013. During my four years in university, I gained a lot of tutoring experience from doing private tutoring, and I had a full-year internship working as a full-time English teacher at Xuchang Foreign Language School during my last year in college. After graduation I continued to teach English until I recently immigrated to the U.S.
My focus of study in college was foreign language education. I studied English as a foreign language, so I'm familiar with what it takes to master a foreign language. I also received professional education on how to teach a foreign language and I had plenty of practice after graduation. I believe my previous teaching experience combined with my cultural and educational background will make me a qualified Chinese language tutor.
Whether you're looking to improve your Chinese language skills on a professional level for business or academic use, or you simply want to learn some basic Chinese conversations for traveling, or you are just interested in the Chinese language and culture in general, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to meeting you and getting started! I am a native Chinese Mandarin speaker. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
