I hold a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Houston, an M.S. in Pharmacology from Rowan University, and a Bachelor in Pharmacy. My academic and research training provides a strong foundation in Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Mathematics, Statistics, and other quantitative sciences.
I have more than 10 years of teaching, tutoring, and mentoring experience. I taught Mathematics and Science to high school and college-level students, including General Mathematics, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Quantitative Reasoning, Chemistry, Biology, and General Science. I have experience teaching in classroom settings as well as providing individual and small-group instruction.
During my graduate and research career in the United States, I have also mentored undergraduate and graduate students in scientific concepts, research methods, data analysis, quantitative problem-solving, and scientific writing.
My teaching approach is concept-based and step-by-step. I first identify where a student is struggling, explain the underlying concept in simple language, work through examples together, and then use practice problems to build independent problem-solving skills and confidence. I adapt my approach to each student's academic level, learning style, and goals.
