Hello! My name is Pedro, and I am currently completing my Bachelor’s degree in Physics with a minor in Mathematics at Utah Valley University after earning my Associate’s degree in Physical Science. Throughout my academic career, I have developed a strong foundation in mathematics and physics, including algebra, trigonometry, calculus, differential equations, mechanics, electricity and magnetism, and scientific programming. In addition to my coursework, I have conducted research in experimental physics and astronomy, analyzing astronomical data and developing Python programs for scientific applications. I also participated in a research program at Harvard Medical School, where I worked with biological data and strengthened my analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

I have several years of experience helping students succeed in STEM subjects through tutoring and teaching support roles. I have worked as a tutor for TRIO Student Support Services and Grading Potential Tutoring, assisting students in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and business courses. I have also served as an Instructional Assistant in the Physics Department at Utah Valley University, where I facilitated problem-solving sessions, graded coursework, and provided individualized academic support. My tutoring approach focuses on building understanding rather than memorization. I break complex concepts into manageable steps, adapt my teaching style to each student's learning needs, and strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.
