I am a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Utah with a strong academic background in mathematics and physics, including coursework in Calculus I–III, Differential Equations, Physics I–II, and advanced engineering courses. I have consistently been on the Dean’s List and have developed a deep understanding of how to approach complex problems in a clear and structured way. My goal as a tutor is not just to help students get the right answer, but to help them understand the “why” behind each step so they can build confidence and succeed independently.
I have over 600 hours of tutoring experience, including more than 500 hours working at Mathnasium and over 100 hours of private, one-on-one tutoring. Through this experience, I have worked with students ranging from middle school through high school in subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Physics. I currently tutor multiple students across several families, helping them improve grades, prepare for exams, and build long-term study skills.
My approach is patient, structured, and results-driven. I focus on breaking down difficult concepts into simple, manageable pieces and making sessions interactive so students stay engaged. I also emphasize building confidence, as I’ve found that many students struggle not because they can’t understand the material, but because they feel overwhelmed or unsure where to start. I strive to create a comfortable environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and make mistakes as part of the learning process.
