Bio

I am a Senior Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Utah Honors College with a 3.9 GPA. I’ve accomplished a few years of robotics research and am preparing for a role in Nuclear Surety / Systems Engineering. Having tutored peers for 3 years of university, I’ve developed an instinct for breaking down complex, intimidating topics into clear, underlying principles which allows me to meet someone at any knowledge level.

My tutoring is influenced by my role as a Resident Advisor at the University of Utah, where I mentor dozens of students through the pressures of a heavy STEM workload. Success isn’t solely about math or physics; it’s about developing an efficient personal learning system and staying connected to the purpose behind the work. Beyond engineering I play 5 intramural teams, one for each day of the week, and run a haircutting business. Ultimately I’m a firm believer that everyone is capable of learning anything with the right strategy and work ethic, and I'll bring positive energy to every session.

Im particularly competent in helping students navigate AP physics 1, Physics 2, Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials, as well as the foundational courses in Calculus and Physics. All of which I have gotten an A in, and have experience tutoring others.

Please share your specific topics or problem sets with me ahead of time- I’ll dedicate a significant amount of my own time before we meet to prepare sources and solve provided problems in advance, to make sure our scheduled time is focused entirely on your breakthroughs and learning.

Mechanical Engineering

I am in my fourth year of studying Mechanical engineering at a Top-tier Research University, with a 3.84 gpa. I’ve often tutored groups of peers in STEM classes who are struggling, as I have a knack for breaking down difficult topics quickly and find explaining concepts very rewarding. I’ve used mechanical engineering concepts daily in my robotics research lab and in several internships over multiple years. I’m strongest in teaching first and second year courses like physics, Statics, Dynamics, and Mechanics of Materials, and have tutored these subjects to other students after I’ve taken them.
