I am currently a sophomore at SLCC working toward a degree in accounting. I have taken math courses such as Math 1010 and Math 1090, where I built a strong foundation in algebra and problem solving. I earned a 96.4 out of 100 on my Math 1090 final, which reflects my understanding of the material and my ability to apply math concepts effectively.

I earned a 96.4 out of 100 on my Math 1090 final, which reflects my understanding of the material and my ability to apply math concepts effectively.
I have experience helping others understand math by breaking problems down into smaller, more manageable steps. This has mostly been in one-on-one settings, helping classmates work through material they were struggling with. I am confident in my ability to explain concepts clearly and adjust my explanations based on what a student needs.
I encourage students to ask questions and talk through their thinking so we can identify exactly where confusion begins. If needed, I go through problems slowly and explain each step before having the student try one on their own with guidance. I believe patience, repetition, encouragement, and clarity are key to learning math. I primarily tutor middle school through college-level students in algebra-based courses. I am happy to work with students either online or in person, depending on what works best for them.
