As a biomedical engineer, I am comfortable tutoring a wide variety of subjects, including mathematics up through differential equations and linear algebra, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, technical writing, and general engineering principles. I have one year of formal tutoring experience working on online platforms. As such, I am comfortable tutoring virtually, although I do feel in-person learning is more productive. The majority of students I have formally tutored are college age students pursuing their undergraduate degrees. In informal settings, I often led discussion groups during my undergraduate program, helping my peers to understand and apply difficult concepts learned in class. I excel in creating lesson plans prior to a tutoring session, but I am comfortable adjusting on the fly if circumstances change during the session.
My goal as a tutor is to help students truly understand the material they are studying, allowing them to apply familiar content to unfamiliar situations. As each person is unique, I create individual lesson plans for each session, aiming to maximize productivity.
