I tutor in Spanish, Psychology, Music Theory, Math (through calculus I & II), Statistics, European History, Geography, and Writing. I also utilize my knowledge and extensive performance background to prepare students for standard exams, including: AP/IB test prep in the aforementioned subjects; LSAT topics: Logical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and Argumentative Writing; SAT and ACT subjects, which includes: English, Reading, Writing, Math, and Science. You will be more prepared for stressful exams than you have ever been for any exam!

*Academic tutoring is $40 per hour. Music subjects: Piano, Music Theory, Ear-training are $80 per hour*

In our tutoring sessions, I teach by working with your strengths. More importantly, I frequently check in each session to make sure you are confident in what you are learning. You can trust that I will put in more effort for you or your child's tutoring sessions than other tutors.

For more info about me:
In college, in addition to a bachelor in Psychology, I completed a Minor in Music. I completed 7 semesters of piano juries, playing pieces including: Chopin's Ballade No. 2 in F Minor, Debussy's La Cathédrale Engloutie, Brahms' Op. 79 Rhapsodies, and Schumann's A Minor Piano Concerto. I also did 4 semesters of Music Theory, Music History, and Collaborative Piano. For my piano studio, I have students compete in the Salt Lake Piano Competitions and do examinations with the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) where they have received First Class Honors.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling to the West Coast (the best coast), biking in the mountains, and cooking delicious food. Oh! And hanging out with my bunnies aptly named Gotham and Agatha.

Great teacher, meets you where you're at

Allison has started teaching my daughter piano and has been great so far. Very accommodating and willing to mix in enough "fun" with foundational skills. Highly recommend.

Very helpful for LSAT!

Allison is an excellent LSAT tutor. She’s extremely thorough and tailored a personalized study plan just for me, along with strategies to track my progress. Even after only two sessions, I’ve already noticed significant improvement.
