Recent Computer Science grad looking to help others learn better

Hey there! My name is Austin and I recently graduated from Saint Louis University with a degree in Computer Science. Throughout my degree I worked on a lot of higher level math, programming, CS theory (including algorithms, networking, etc.), and more. I’m most comfortable in those above topics, and am able to scale it down to simpler math or science. I’m also comfortable with other topics like English, and can assist with writing papers.

Officially, I don’t have any experience tutoring others through Wyzant or other platforms. But, I have spent a lot of time throughout the years assisting friends, siblings, and kids through babysitting with whichever mathy/sciency/writing topics they needed help with, and that has given me the itch to continue doing it even after graduating! I typically tutor by answering questions, giving examples, and working through problems the person needs help with. I can also write a simple lesson plan if desired, whatever the student feels will help them best.

Like I said above, I’ve helped teach a range of ages with different settings. I also babysat throughout college, and found parents asking me to teach their children who ranged from 4-14 years old, and I also have helped friends/family between the ages of 18-22. This has been going on for roughly 3-4 years, and usually it’s a one-on-one experience! I’m willing to work in-person or virtually (I have an iPad that I can stream to the screen), ultimately whatever works best for the student.
