Hi, I'm Stanislav (or Stas for short)! I realized early on in my school career that a good teacher is just as important or even more important than the subject they teach. My most memorable classes were ones with engaging, understanding, and flexible teachers who took time to get to know their students and found joy in watching them grow. That's why I tutor - I want to see that "a-ha" moment when it all comes together for you.

Back in high school, I would often tutor other students in many branches of math, from Algebra through Calculus, as well as some intermediate French. Even during my time at the University of Alabama I helped fellow students in Aerospace Engineering and Computer Science classes. I'm currently at the University of Utah studying for a degree in Data Science. I've done tutoring on other platforms as well, working with dozens of students for hundreds of hours to prepare them for tests like the SAT/ACT. Almost all of these were one-on-one meetings where I tailored the sessions to the specific needs of the student. I earned a 800 Math/750 Reading on the SAT and a perfect 36 on the ACT, so I know the ins and outs of the test.

My favorite kinds of students are those that are genuinely invested in their own education, so when I tutor I try to make the experience as engaging as possible so that it's easy to jump right in. In our tutoring sessions, I usually want to get an idea of your current experience first. Then, we'll focus on the topics that you need the most help on by working up from what you already know. I like to work through your thought process and understand how you see the topic, so that I can best help you learn. I can always give you time afterwards to make sure you master the subject on your own, whether during sessions or independently.

Steady, reliable and gets great results

My son has been working with Stanislav for several months preparing for both ACT and SAT. His weakness is the math sections and confidence therein. Upon taking both tests for the first time, the results were great. From PSAT score to SAT first time score he experienced an increase of over 200 points. My son tells me Stanislav is very good at explaining math concepts and easy to learn from. He has also helped with the verbal portions of the tests and has overall steadily built my son's confidence through steady consistent practice. He is also very responsive and professional as a tutor. My son likes him!

My son is quite pickier when he is choosing tutors, but he liked Stanislav after the first lesson. That is much relief to me when he likes his tutor.
