Bio

I love being a teacher. It brings me so much joy to see students succeed and gain confidence in academics. After teaching in a classroom setting for over 7 years, I now tutor in the evenings and Saturdays. I love being able to work one-on-one with students and help them succeed in school.

My goal is to work with students and parents to best meet the needs of each student, whether that be working with them to complete their homework, preparing for a test, or providing lessons to help them...

My goal is to work with students and parents to best meet the needs of each student, whether that be working with them to complete their homework, preparing for a test, or providing lessons to help them improve beyond what they are learning in the classroom.

I have a bachelor's degree in English Teaching, and a minor in Spanish Teaching. My expertise is with middle/high school aged students since I was a secondary school teacher, but I am willing to work with all ages/levels.

If you need help with Spanish, I am a native English speaker, but I worked in Argentina for 1 1/2 years and became fluent in Spanish there. I then went on to get a minor in Spanish teaching, and much of my tutoring experience has been with Spanish students. I can help with homework, test prep, grammar, vocabulary, conversation, pronunciation, reading, writing, etc.

If you need help with English, my expertise includes help with research, speeches, writing/essays, literature, etc. I can proofread and/or give feedback on writing.

I have an English teaching degree and a Spanish teaching minor. I have taught 7th, 9th, and 12th grade English in public schools before taking some time off to raise my young children.

I have a Spanish teaching degree and have tutored Spanish for the last ten years. I also taught online high school classes for a private university.

I played volleyball in high school, and also coached 4 seasons of high school volleyball while in college. I took a "Coaching Volleyball" class from one of the nation's best college volleyball coaches, and am certified in Gold Medal Squared (a clinic where college volleyball coaches taught me effective coaching techniques).

Christie is very patient with my son and he feels very comfortable learning with her.

Christie is very good at coming up with additional tools and websites to help my son be able to study when he is at home. It has been very helpful for my son and the learning process with Spanish. It is early in with the tutoring, but so far his grades are better with every quiz.
