Reading and Elementary Homework Tutor

Hi! I am currently a reading interventionist at a local elementary school. I love helping kids discover and improve their reading abilities. I have 5 kids of my own and have traversed homework with 2 of my own kids who have Dyslexia and ADHD. I have decades of experience working with children between the ages of 0-12 and feel very comfortable instructing and interacting with that age range.

I have a BS from BYU in Marriage, Family and Human Development with post graduate coursework in speech therapy. I believe that reading is vital to a solid education and every child deserves the opportunity to learn to read. I am excited for the chance to help your child love to read.

I have worked with children of all age ranges as a preschool teacher, child care giver, reading interventionist and parent. I know how to interact with children and keep them motivated and on task.

Throughout my educational and occupational pursuits I have had ample opportunities to practice and develop my own reading and writing skills. I have taught early literature classes, and worked with many elementary aged children to help them develop their reading and vocabulary skills.

I have two children of my own with ADHD. I have developed much patience and understand how to interact with children who have ADHD.

As part of my reading intervention instruction I also teach letter writing and handwriting.
