I am a fluent Spanish speaker with real-world immersion and academic training. I lived in Chile for a year, where I was fully immersed in the language and culture, speaking Spanish daily in real-life situations. This experience allowed me to develop true conversational fluency and a deep understanding of how the language is actually used. After returning, I continued my studies in Spanish throughout high school and college and scored in the top percentile on the Foreign Language Achievement Test at BYU. I am also fluent in Portuguese, which further reflects my strength in language learning and communication.

While living in Chile, I taught weekly English classes to native Spanish speakers, giving me hands-on teaching experience. In addition, I have experience translating meetings in real time from English to Spanish, which has strengthened my ability to think quickly and communicate clearly in both languages. My experience as a Registered Behavioral Technician has also helped me develop strong one-on-one communication skills, adaptability, and patience with different learning styles.

As a tutor, I work with students who want to improve their performance in class and those who want to become more confident speaking Spanish. I can help with homework, grammar, test preparation, and building a strong foundation for success in school, while also focusing on practical conversation and real-world usage. I am patient, adaptable, and comfortable working with learners of all ages, including older adults. My goal is to make learning clear, engaging, and personalized so students not only improve their grades but also feel confident using the language.
