Bio

As an Adjunct Faculty Researcher in the field of Biochemistry, I use science and math every day to solve real-world problems. I know that STEM subjects can feel like a foreign language, but once you understand the logic behind the equations, the anxiety disappears.

I graduated from BYU with a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry (3.87 GPA) and minors in Mathematics, Physics, Business, and Ballroom Dance. My goals are both to help you get an "A" on the next test AND help you think like a scientist so...

My goals are both to help you get an "A" on the next test AND help you think like a scientist so you can handle whatever the professor throws at you next.

My Approach: I believe the best way to learn is by breaking complex problems down into manageable steps. Because I work in research, I specialize in helping students who understand the concepts but get stuck on the application, whether that's setting up a stoichiometry problem, analyzing data for a Lab Report, or connecting physics principles to biological systems.

How to Book Me: To make sure our time is efficient, please send me your syllabus or a photo of the problems/chapter you are working on 24 hours before our session. This allows me to prepare a custom lesson plan specifically for your needs.

Whether you are a high school student tackling Chemistry for the first time or a college student navigating pre-med prerequisites, let’s get to work!

Approved Subjects

ACT English

ACT English

I earned a 36 on the English section of the ACT, so I know how to help you get a score you are satisfied with! I earned a 4 on the AP English Language and Composition exam. I am also a published academic author in the field of Biochemistry, so I keep my English skills fresh.
ACT Math

ACT Math

- Graduated with a bachelors in Biochemistry (GPA: 3.87) and minors in Mathematics, Physics, Business, and Ballroom Dance - ACT Composite Score: 33 - ACT Math Score: 30 - High School GPA: 4.0 (Valedictorian) As a University Adjunct Faculty member and BYU graduate (Biochemistry, 3.87 GPA), I bring a professional level of expertise to ACT prep. I graduated high school as Valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA and a 33 ACT. While my initial scores were strong, my subsequent minors in Mathematics and Physics and background in high-level STEM means I know more than just the formulas—I understand the logic behind them. I don’t only teach students how to solve a problem; I teach them to understand the underlying logic so they can tackle unfamiliar questions with ease. I specialize in the '60-question sprint' of the ACT Math section. By combining deep conceptual mastery with high-speed shortcuts and pattern-recognition strategies, I help students bridge the gap between knowing the material and beating the clock. My goal is to mentor students to not only reach but exceed my own scores and approach test day with total confidence.
ACT Science

ACT Science

- Graduated from BYU with a Bachelor's in Biochemistry (GPA: 3.87) - Earned Minors in Mathematics, Physics, Business, and Ballroom Dance - High School Valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA - Earned a 33 composite superscore on the ACT with a 31 in the science subject area As an active researcher in the field of Biochemistry, I use science and math basically every day. I understand the logic behind scientific questions and how to answer them - my job is literally to find answers to questions nobody knows the answers to! Science is my specialty, and I am excited to help you unlock your potential in logic and reasoning to help you score your best on the ACT (or SAT).
Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I earned a minor in Math during college, and I love the subject! Algebra is such an important skill for everyday life and all your future classes. I love teaching skills that translate to many other areas, and Algebra transfers everywhere!
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I graduated with a bachelor's in Biochemistry and minors in Math and Physics, so quantitative reasoning and mathematics are like second nature to me. I believe in teaching for understanding, not just getting a grade, so that your mathematical foundations will be well-established before moving on to higher level coursework.
Chemistry

Chemistry

I have a Bsc in Biochemistry (GPA 3.87) and 4 years of experimental lab experience. I currently work as an Adjunct Faculty Researcher at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
