During my degree, I completed a 30-page thesis on American identity through the history of comics. This gave me a strong background in research, primary sources, and building historical arguments. United States and European history are my main areas of focus, and I especially enjoy helping students work through Document based questions (DBQs), essays, and primary or secondary source analysis.
I’ve spent several years working with children in both structured and one-on-one settings, which helped me develop a clear, patient, and supportive approach to explaining things. I’m very comfortable breaking down complex assignments step by step.
Outside of academics, I also create social media content where I break down comic book history for a public audience. I’ve loved creating a space to teach history in an engaging, accessible way; it is something I genuinely enjoy in my free time.
I’m planning to pursue a master’s in Public History and museum education to continue bringing history to a wider audience. I don’t see history as memorizing dates; it’s about stories, questions, and understanding why things matter. My goal is to help students feel confident asking questions, building their own arguments, and realizing they can think like historians.
