I have a Master's degree and teaching certificate in TESOL and a Linguistics degree from Brigham Young University and I've been teaching and tutoring American English for over 10 years.

Taking lessons with me is simple just follow these 3 steps:

Step 1 - Schedule a half price lesson with me where I assess your needs so I can see how much you know and what you need and want to work on so our lessons can meet your needs.

Step 2- Next set some goals so that you can see how much you improve. These should be SMART goals: specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-bound. Think of what you want to do with the language and where and why you want to use it. Maybe you want to pass a test, get a better job, improve relationships with friends or coworkers, or maybe to help a child with homework. Whatever your goals are they will help me structure effective lessons to meet your needs and wants.

Step 3 - The third step is to book one-on-one sessions with me on Wyzant to start improving your English right away.

I teach English as a Second Language (TESOL). I have a graduate certificate and a Masters in TESOL. I have been teaching and tutoring ESL since 2007. Vocabulary is one of the things that helps students understand more in English. I usually teach this subject in several ways, through reading, speaking, lists of words the student finds he or she mispronounces or wants to learn, and the use of flashcards both online and with hard copies. Vocabulary is best learned when used in real life situations over and over until it sticks.

Beth and I went through the pronunciation problems of my speech on our first class, and introduced me the International Phonetic Alphabet and other speaking skills that I would like to work on in the future. I think she is well known of the learning outcome students are looking for, I am so glad I found her as my American accent trainer who is knowledgable, experienced and patient in teaching pronunciation, and I also believe she is good at tutoring all other aspects of English skills.
