I am a certified elementary teacher in the state of Utah, and I graduated from Brigham Young University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. My training included coursework in math instruction, literacy development, and differentiated teaching strategies, along with hands-on classroom experience working with upper elementary students.
Over the past four years, I have taught in a variety of educational settings, which has given me a strong understanding of how to support students with different learning needs. I assisted in 2nd and 4th grade classrooms and completed my student teaching with 6th grade students, where I planned and delivered lessons in core subjects. I have also worked as a substitute teacher for grades K–6 across multiple school districts, allowing me to quickly adapt to different classrooms and environments. In addition, I served as a 6th grade classroom teacher for writing and social studies, focusing on building foundational skills and student confidence. I have also worked with students with learning disabilities and adapted instruction to meet their individual needs.
Alongside my classroom experience, I have several years of one-on-one teaching experience through private piano instruction and academic tutoring for students in grades 2–7. I strive to make learning engaging and enjoyable while building a supportive environment where students feel comfortable taking risks. One of my top priorities is helping students realize that they are capable of mastering concepts they once found difficult. I use clear explanations, guided practice, and positive encouragement to help students build confidence, independence, and lasting skills.
