Hi. My name is Scott. I have been a high school and college teacher for the past 27 years. Subjects that I teach include: High School Biology, College Biology, Human Biology (A&P), Astronomy, Botany, Geology, Ecology, Medical Terminology, Environmental Science (AP or High School), ACT Science Prep, Emergency Medical Responder, Emergency Medical Technician, and Paramedic. Most of these classes I have taught in person, but I also have experience in teaching several online courses through Mohave Community College. I am well-versed in online education. As a veteran teacher, I am able to teach in person, in a regular classroom setting, and through any online means available. As part of my regular teaching appointment, I tutor students daily in an after-school tutoring program at my local school.
I have a Master's Degree in Environmental Science from Washington State University, a Bachelor's degree in Biology (minors in Geology and Chemistry) from Southern Utah University, and a General Science degree from Snow College. I have won multiple Teacher of the Year awards from my local school, and last year I was nominated as Utah Teacher of the Year.
I have taught thousands of students, and many say that I am one of the favorite teachers, because I not only teach well, but I ensure learning. I would be happy to provide tutoring services to students from middle school through junior college level. I am friendly, knowledgeable, and my most important goal is to help all my students learn and be successful.
