I am currently a student at Utah State University. I am studying chemistry and physics with a dual major in Chemistry Teaching and Professional Chemistry and a minor in Physics Teaching. I have many years of tutoring experience, including one year of volunteer tutoring for the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, one year of tutoring for Chemistry and Biology, and multiple semesters of TA positions.
I have completed many education classes during my time at USU. I am increasingly interested in teaching with an emphasis on scientific phenomena. I enjoy one-on-one tutoring because it provides a space to understand what the student knows and what their individual goals are.
I have taught many chemistry laboratories and understand the best practices and safety methods for students and teachers. I have experience with scientific writing and individual research projects. I am currently working on developing educational models for chemistry students in collaboration with a professor on USU campus. I know the Utah curriculum well and have taught chemistry classes for students' high school age to university.
