Through my career, I have been passionate in mentoring post-incarceration individuals in achieving stability, sobriety, and success. This is done by connecting them to employment resources, treatment providers, and holding them accountable when they violate certain court-ordered conditions. These conversations must be handled with grace, compassion, understanding, and wisdom. Guiding individuals through the darkest times of their lives has several difficulties and nuances, and one must be able to do so with confidence, patience, and professionalism.
I have often been told that I have a knack for teaching and public speaking, although I still get nerves every time before I speak (shout-out social anxiety). However, I truly love teaching and enjoy finding creative and fun ways to make the experience memorable for my students.
